Bestoom: A Playful Font for Eye-Catching Campaigns

I was designing a product launch graphic for a seasonal sale when I needed a font that could stand out without overwhelming the message. The campaign was targeting young parents and kids, so it had to feel fun but still professional. That’s when I landed on Bestoom, a display font with a playful yet refined style. It wasn’t just about looking good—it had to work across multiple formats, from Instagram posts to YouTube thumbnails.

What Makes Bestoom Unique

Bestoom is a display font that brings warmth and charm to any design. Its rounded edges and slightly whimsical curves give it a friendly vibe, making it perfect for creative projects that want to engage younger audiences or inject some personality into brand visuals. It’s not too childish, nor is it overly formal—making it versatile for a range of marketing materials.

The font has a soft, approachable look that can be used in both bright and muted color schemes. Whether paired with bold colors or subtle gradients, Bestoom adds a visual layer that feels intentional and thoughtful. It’s ideal for headlines, callouts, and decorative text where you want to draw attention without being distracting.

Using Bestoom in Real Campaigns

I tested Bestoom in a few different campaign elements. For an Instagram post promoting a new children's toy, I used it as the main headline. It worked well with playful illustrations and vibrant backgrounds, helping to create a cohesive and engaging visual identity.

In a YouTube thumbnail set for a kids’ educational channel, I paired Bestoom with a clean sans serif font for the supporting text. This contrast helped maintain readability while keeping the overall aesthetic light and inviting. The thumbnail saw higher click-through rates than previous versions using more traditional fonts.

For a Pinterest campaign promoting DIY crafts, I applied Bestoom to the pin titles. The font’s gentle curves complemented the hand-drawn elements of the images, reinforcing the idea of creativity and personal expression. It also looked great in dark mode overlays, which are common on Pinterest.

Readability and Practical Use Cases

One thing I noticed early on was how well Bestoom performed on mobile screens. Despite its playful nature, the letterforms remained legible even at smaller sizes. This made it a solid choice for social media feeds, where users often scroll quickly through content.

However, Bestoom isn’t the best fit for long-form copy or dense information. It shines in short headlines, taglines, and decorative elements. When designing a webinar banner, I used it for the title but kept the description in a simpler font to avoid clutter.

It works particularly well in campaigns that need to communicate a sense of joy, creativity, or playfulness. Think product teasers, quote graphics, course launches, or branded templates. Just be mindful of spacing and hierarchy when using it in complex layouts.

Font Pairing and Licensing Considerations

To keep the design balanced, I paired Bestoom with a clean sans serif font like Montserrat for body text. This combination created a nice contrast between the playful and modern styles, enhancing the overall readability and visual appeal.

Before using Bestoom in any client project or digital ad, I made sure to check the licensing agreement. It’s important to confirm that the font supports commercial use and includes all necessary glyphs, weights, and multilingual characters if needed. Some display fonts have limited language support, so this step can prevent potential issues later on.

Also, I recommend exploring the font’s alternates and ligatures to see if they add value to your design. In one email promotion, using the alternate “o” character helped reinforce the brand’s playful tone without sacrificing clarity.

When Bestoom Fits—and When It Doesn’t

Bestoom is a great match for campaigns that aim to be approachable, creative, or child-friendly. But it may not be the right choice for formal corporate communication, legal documents, or anything that requires strict typographic conventions.

If your brand leans toward professionalism or minimalism, you might find Bestoom too expressive for certain contexts. However, for digital ads, social media posts, and promotional banners, it offers a unique way to stand out in a crowded feed.

Overall, Bestoom has become a go-to asset in my toolkit for campaigns that need a touch of personality. It’s not just a font—it’s a design element that helps shape the mood and message of a campaign in subtle but meaningful ways.
